Legislative Education Study Committee Meeting July 14-16

Santa Fe, NM – The  Legislative Education Study Committeewill meet Monday and Wednesday, July 14-16, 2014 at San Juan College (SJC) on 4601 College Boulevard in Farmington.

Among several agenda items, committee members will speak with officials from SJC, as well as officials from the New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) Oil and Gas Management Program about program initiatives. They will also discuss workforce readiness with representatives from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Aztec Well Companies and WPX Energy. Committee members will also talk about teacher and principal evaluations, higher education and early childhood issues.

Committee ChairSenator John Sapien (D-9- Bernalillo & Sandoval) and Vice-Chair Representative Mimi Stewart (D-21-Bernalillo)will preside at the meeting.
