Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee and Indian Affairs Committee Joint Meeting July 16

Santa Fe, NM – The Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee will meet with the Indian Affairs Committee at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the University of New Mexico branch in Gallup.

Among several agenda items, committee members will discuss healthcare for Native American veterans, critical issues for providers concerning homeless veterans, and will also receive an update from the founder of Veterans Helping Veterans, David Cuellar.

Committee Chairs Senator Richard C. Martinez (D-5- Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Sandoval & Santa Fe), Representative Rodolpho “Rudy” S. Martinez (D-39- Dona Ana, Grant & Sierra), Senator John Pinto (D-3- McKinley & San Juan) and Representative Sandra D. Jeff (D-5- McKinley & San Juan) will preside at the meeting.
