Meeting Wednesday and Thursday, August 6-7

Santa Fe, NM – The Courts, Corrections and Justice Committee and Legislative Health and Human Services Committee will have a joint meeting on Wednesday and Thursday, August 6-7, 2014 in the lobby of the University of New Mexico School of Law, located at 1117 Stanford Drive NE, in Albuquerque.

Among several agenda items, during Wednesday’s meeting, committee members will discuss outpatient treatment issues, behavioral health issues, supportive housing, and substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation. Thursday’s agenda items include healthcare for inmates, the criminal justice and behavioral healthSequential Intercept Model, the Prison Rape Elimination Act, and Medicaid for inmates.

Committee Chairs Representative Gail Chasey (D-18- Bernalillo), Senator Richard C. Martinez(D-5- Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Sandoval & Santa Fe), and Representative James Roger Madalena (D-65- Rio Arriba, Sandoval & San Juan) will preside at the meeting.
