Criminal Justice Reform Subcommittee Meeting Wednesday, August 27

Santa Fe, NM – The Criminal Justice Reform Subcommittee of the Courts, Corrections and Justice Committee will meet on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Rotunda of the University of New Mexico Science and Technology Park, located at 801 University Boulevard SE in Albuquerque.

Among several agenda items, subcommittee members will discuss past criminal justice reform efforts in New Mexico, collateral consequences of conviction, creation of a high misdemeanor in the New Mexico criminal code, bringing gender into the drug reform conversation,and transitional living.

Subcommittee Co-Chairs Senator Lisa A. Torraco (R-18-Bernalillo) and Representative Antonio “Moe” Maestas (D-16-Bernalillo) will preside at the meeting.
