Jobs Council Meeting Thursday, October 16

Santa Fe, NM – The Jobs Council will meet on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 307 of the State Capitol in Santa Fe.

Among several agenda items, committee members will receive an update on the regional data-gathering process and the online jobs-data repository by representatives from the Employment and Economic Information Center of New Mexico and Lautman Economic Architecture. They will also discuss workforce development initiatives, capitalizing the rising innovation-to-enterprise sector, the Science Early Education Pilot Program, the Solo Worker Pilot Program, and barriers to agricultural products’ small business growth.

Committee Co-Chairs Senator Mary Kay Papen (D-38-Dona Ana) and Representative W. Ken Martinez (D-69- Bernalillo, Cibola, McKinley, Socorro, San Juan & Valencia) will preside at the meeting.
