Jobs Council Meeting Wednesday, November 12

Santa Fe, NM – The Jobs Council will meet on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in Room 307 of the State Capitol in Santa Fe.

Committee members will discuss the Forest Restoration Economic Development Assistance Program; New Mexico State University (NMSU) Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) training, entrepreneurship and diversity; an update on the regional data-gathering process and the online jobs-data repository; growth potential for the aviation/aerospace industry; the Tourism Department’s fiscal year 2016 budget request; workers’ compensation system challenges; the Solo Work Program; the Staff Augmentation Program; and the WorkKeys High School Graduation Test Option Program.

Committee Co-Chairs Senator Mary Kay Papen (D-38-Dona Ana) and Representative W. Ken Martinez (D-69- Bernalillo, Cibola, McKinley, Socorro, San Juan & Valencia) will preside at the meeting.
