After tempers cool, New Mexico legislators can call a one-day special session to pass a bill for capital construction projects, state Rep. Bobby Gonzales said Wednesday.

“Once emotions settle down, things will change in a month or so,” Gonzales, D-Taos, said in an interview.

The regular 60-day session ended Saturday without passage of a bill for $264 million in construction projects.
