Legislative Education Study Committee Meeting Monday through Wednesday, October 13-15

Santa Fe, NM – The Legislative Education Study Committee will meet on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, October 13-15, 2014 in room 322 at the State Capital in Santa Fe.

Among several agenda items on Monday, committee members will discuss cost-effective options for increasing high school graduation rates, redesigning the University of New Mexico’s College of Education, and farm to table appropriation distribution. On Tuesday, committee members will discuss public school budgets for fiscal year 2015, insurance appropriation requests for fiscal year 2016, and meet with the Teacher and Principal Evaluation Panel. On Wednesday, committee members will receive reports from the Public Education Department and the College Board.

Committee Chair Senator John Sapien (D-9- Bernalillo & Sandoval) and Vice-Chair Representative Mimi Stewart (D-21-Bernalillo) will preside at the meeting.
