Legislative Health and Human Services Committee Meeting July 17-18

Santa Fe, NM – The Legislative Health and Human Services Committee will meet on Thursday and Friday, July 17-18, 2014 at the Pueblo of Taos Community Center located on 220 Rotten Tree Road in Taos.

Among several agenda items, committee members will review legislation for the upcoming 2015 regular session of the 52nd Legislature. They will also discuss the Department of Health’s proposed medical cannabis rules and concerns regarding those rules. The Human Services Department’s Income Support Division’s Public Benefits Case Management, issues concerning the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program and the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange will also be discussed.

Committee Chair Representative James Roger Madalena (D-65-Rio Arriba, Sandoval & San Juan)and Vice Chair Senator Gerald Ortiz y Pino (D-12- Bernalillo) will preside at the meeting.
