Legislative Public School Capital Outlay Oversight Task Force Committee Meeting Friday, June 20

Santa Fe, NM – The LegislativePublic School Capital Outlay Oversight Task Force (PSCOTF) Committee will be meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 in room 307 of the State Capitol in Santa Fe.

Among several agenda items, committee members will be discussing the status of school conditions and public school capital outlay standards-based funding capacity. Committee members will also discuss the status of the Zunilawsuit andlitigant districts. The court found public school capital outlay funding unconstitutional in 1998 and led to the development of the PSCOTF, as well as a new statewide capital outlay system based on adequacy standards.The 2014 committee interim work plan and meeting schedule will be adopted at the meeting as well.

Committee Chair Representative Mimi Stewart (D-21-Bernalillo) and Vice Chair Senator John Sapien (D-9- Bernalillo & Sandoval)will be presiding at the meeting.
