Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee Meeting Monday, September 22

Santa Fe, NM – The Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee will meet on Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Science and Technology Park at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Among several agenda items, committee members will receive an update on National Guard Armories. They will also discuss the Veterans’ property tax exemption, rural transportation for veterans, the New Mexico Center for Energy Workforce Development Consortia Troops to Energy Initiative, developing a veteran-focused campus, New Mexico State University veteran-specific education programs, and the Kirtland Air Force Base jet fuel spill cleanup.

Co-Chairs Senator Richard Martinez (D-5- Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Sandoval & Santa Fe) and Representative Rodolpho “Rudy” S. Martinez (D-39- Dona Ana, Grant & Sierra) will be presiding at the meeting.
