Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee Meeting Thursday and Friday, December 18-19

Santa Fe, NM – The Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee will meet on Thursday and Friday, December 18-19, 2014, in Room 307 of the State Capitol in Santa Fe.

On Thursday, committee members will discuss the revenue forecast and the tax expenditure report with the Taxation and Revenue Department, the Gross Receipts Tax Base Study results and next steps, the Retiree Program Solvency Report, a New Mexico Lottery revenue update, and the Legislative Lottery Scholarship Fund status.

On Friday, they will discuss the process for recovery of excess distributions to local governments, the New Mexico Municipal League legislative proposals, the New Mexico Association of Counties legislative proposals, the gross receipts deduction for cyber-security devices, and other legislative proposals.

Committee Chair Representative Edward Sandoval (D-17- Bernalillo) and Vice-Chair Senator Carlos Cisneros (D-6-Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe & Taos) will preside at the meeting.
