Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee Meeting Thursday and Friday, October 23-24

Santa Fe, NM – The Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee will meet Thursday and Friday, October 23-24, 2014 in Room 307 of the State Capitol in Santa Fe.

Among several agenda items, committee members will discuss tax policy priorities with New Mexico Voices for Children, disaster relief workers potential tax implications, proposed changes to the angel investment tax credit, proposed changes to the sustainable building tax credit, valuation of property in Taos County, and the impact of hold harmless reductions on Gallup. On Friday, they will discuss City of Eunice v. State of New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department, home rule taxing authority, county local option gross receipts taxes, hospital funding and other county legislative priorities.

Committee Chair Representative Edward Sandoval (D-17- Bernalillo) and Vice-Chair Senator Carlos Cisneros (D-6-Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe & Taos) will preside at the meeting.
