Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee  Meeting July 8 – 9

Santa Fe, NM – The Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee will meet Tuesday and Wednesday, July 8-9, 2014 in the Zia Conference Center in room 55400 at the Health & Human Performance Center of San Juan College in Farmington.

On Tuesday, committee members will speak with officials from the City of Farmington, San Juan County, the City of Gallup and McKinley County about the impacts and issues of their trade areas. They will also discuss the fairness and equity in state tax incentive policies for economic development, and review the revised 2014 New Mexico Business Tax Competitiveness Study with representatives from the New Mexico Tax Research Institute. On Wednesday, the committee will have a joint meeting with the Legislative Finance Committee.

Committee Chair Representative Edward Sandoval (D-17- Bernalillo) and Vice-Chair Senator Carlos Cisneros (D-6-Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe & Taos)will be preside at the meeting.
