Science, Technology and Telecommunications Committee Meeting Monday through Wednesday, October 27-29

Santa Fe, NM – The Science, Technology and Telecommunications Committee will meet Monday and Tuesday, October 27-28, 2014 in the Rotunda Room of the University of New Mexico (UNM) Science Technology Park, located at 801 University Boulevard, in Albuquerque. On Wednesday, October 29, 2014, committee members will meet at the Fidel Center of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, located at 1 Olive Lane in Socorro.

Among several agenda items, on Monday, committee members will discuss the Clinical Translational Science Program, the Brain Safe Project of UNM, public television, House Memorial 17, and electric grid stability.

On Tuesday, they will discuss the Human Services Department (HSD) Automated System Program and Eligibility Network Project status, the Oil and Natural Gas Administration and Revenue Database Project status, the State Land Office Land Information Management System Project status, telecommunications competition, directed energy, higher education endowment, and the Telehealth update.

Wednesday’s agenda includes an update on the San Juan Generating Station and a discussion about Elio Motors.

Committee Chair Senator Michael Padilla (D-14- Bernalillo) and Vice Chair Representative Carl Trujillo (D-46-Santa Fe) will preside at the meeting.
