Senator Jacob Candelaria Hosts Second Annual Job Fair September 26
Albuquerque Event Open to the Public

Albuquerque, NM—Senator Jacob Candelaria (D-26-Bernalillo) announced today that his Second Annual Job Fair will take place on Friday September, 26th at the West Mesa Community Center located at 5500 Glenrio Rd NW, in Albuquerque, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Job Fair is open to the public and Sen. Candelaria encourages all Albuquerque residents to attend.

The focus of this year’s Job Fair will be connecting job-seekers with jobs in the technology, energy, public-safety and education sectors. A full list of participating employers will be available in the coming weeks. Any employers interested in participating in this year’s Job Fair should contact Sen. Candelaria at jacob@jacobcandelaria.com.

According to Sen. Candelaria, representatives of local education and job training programs will also be on site to connect workers with job training opportunities, especially in the high-tech industry.

“Albuquerque is the only city in the country in a double-dip recession. We are better than that; we owe our communities more, and all public officials should step up to the plate and do something about it,” stated Sen. Candelaria. “We have to pull together as a community and rebuild our economy from the ground up, and I hope this Job Fair will help people find the resources they need to move forward and provide for their families,” concluded Sen. Candelaria.

This is the second year Sen. Candelaria has hosted a Job Fair in his Albuquerque Senate district. Over 500 job-seekers and community members attended last year’s Job Fair.
