Senator Jerry Ortiz y Pino to Host Town Hall Meeting Sunday, April 19, in Albuquerque
Santa Fe, NM – State Senator Jerry Ortiz y Pino (D-12-Bernalillo) will host a public town hall meeting on Sunday, April 19, from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at Hotel Blue in Albuquerque.
Sen. Ortiz y Pino said that he will use the town hall to provide information about the 2015 legislative session and particular policies that affect Albuquerque’s interests. He also said he has extended an invitation to members of the House of Representatives whose districts overlap his.
“I think legislators must take every opportunity to communicate with their constituents about their work in the Legislature. What better way to inform and gain feedback than to go out into our communities and speak face-to-face with those who put us in office,” said Sen. Ortiz y Pino. “I really hope the Representatives I’ve invited will join me for this event.”
Hotel Blue is located at 717 Central Avenue NW, in Albuquerque.
