Tobacco Settlement Revenue Oversight Committee Meeting Thursday, July 31

Santa Fe, NM – The Tobacco Settlement Revenue Oversight Committee will meet on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Cancer Center located at 1201 Camino de Salud NE in Albuquerque.

Among several agenda items, committee members will receive updates from the UNM Cancer Center, as well as the UNM School of Medicine Instruction and General Purposes on genomics, bio-computing, and specialty education in trauma and pediatrics. Committee members will also discuss the tobacco settlement fund’s revenue with staff from the Legislative Finance Committee, and receive updates on the master settlement agreement arbitration, the New Mexico Poison and Drug Information Center and UNM Pediatric Oncology.

Committee Co-Chairs Senator Cisco McSorley (D-16-Bernalillo) and Representative Elizabeth “Liz” Thomson (D-24-Bernalillo) will preside at the meeting.
