Water and Natural Resources Committee Meeting Tuesday and Wednesday, December 2-3

Santa Fe, NM – The Water and Natural Resources Committee will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 2-3, 2014, in Room 322 of the State Capitol in Santa Fe.

On Tuesday, committee members will discuss the Plains of San Agustin Water Appropriation Proposal, New Mexico Rural Water Association issues, a recycling report from the New Mexico Recycling Coalition, a water supply vulnerabilities study, extreme precipitation modeling update opportunities, the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology Geospatial Mapping Proposal, and Nuestro Rio regional water initiatives.

On Wednesday, committee members will receive several reports from the Middle Rio Grande Levee Task Force and proposed legislation for possible endorsement.

Committee Chair Representative George Dodge, Jr. (D-63-Curry, DeBaca, Guadalupe, Roosevelt & San Miguel) and Vice Chair Senator Phil A. Griego (D-39-Bernalillo, Lincoln, San Miguel, Santa Fe, Torrance & Valencia) will preside at the meeting.
