Senator Jacob Candelaria Hosts Second Annual Job Fair September 26 in Albuquerque

Albuquerque, NM—Senator Jacob Candelaria (D-26-Bernalillo) will host his Second Annual Job Fair on Friday September, 26th at the West Mesa Community Center located at 5500 Glenrio Rd NW, in Albuquerque, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The job fair is open to the public.

According to Sen. Candelaria, this year’s job fair will be connecting job-seekers with jobs in the technology, energy, public-safety and education sectors. Confirmed employers include: Albuquerque Public Schools, the New Mexico Cancer Center, the United States Department of Veteran Affairs, the City of Albuquerque, the Albuquerque Police Department Academy, Bernalillo County, the Bernalillo County Assessor’s Office, the Public Service Company of New Mexico, Bandojo, and the New Mexico Guild of Responsible Tattooists.

“Albuquerque is the only city in the country in a double-dip recession. We are better than that; we owe our communities more, and all public officials should step up to the plate and do something about it,” stated Sen. Candelaria. “I hope this job fair will help people find the resources they need to move forward and provide for their families.”

This is the second year Sen. Candelaria has hosted a job fair in his Albuquerque senate district. Over 500 job-seekers and community members attended last year’s job fair.
