Economic and Rural Development Committee and Transportation Infrastructure Revenue Subcommittee Joint Meeting Thursday, October 2
ERDC to Reconvene October 3

Santa Fe, NM – The Economic and Rural Development Committee (ERDC) and the Transportation Infrastructure Revenue Subcommittee will have a joint meeting on Thursday October 2, 2014 at Santa Teresa High School, located at 100 Airport Road in Santa Teresa. The Economic and Rural Development Committee will reconvene on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Dona Ana County Commission Chambers, located at 845 North Motel Boulevard in Las Cruces.

Among several agenda items, on Thursday, members will discuss economic issues of Santa Teresa, the road system in Dona Ana County, logistics for community growth, and will take a tour of the Santa Teresa road system. On Friday, the ERDC will meet with committee working groups, and discuss the Smart Grid Epicenter at New Mexico State University, the state’s workers’ compensation system challenges, and the New Mexico Association of Regional Councils comprehensive economic development strategy.

Economic and Rural Development Committee Chair Representative Debbie Rodella (D-41- Rio Arriba, Santa Fe & Taos) and Vice-Chair Senator Howie Morales (D-28- Catron, Grant & Socorro); and Transportation Infrastructure Revenue Subcommittee Chair Representative Roberto “Bobby” J. Gonzales (D- 42-Taos) and Vice Chair John Arthur Smith (D-35- Dona Ana, Hidalgo, Luna & Sierra) will preside at the meeting.
