Legislative Finance Committee Meeting September 24-26
Santa Fe, NM – The Legislative Finance Committee (LFC) will meet on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, September 24-26, 2014 at the State Capitol in Santa Fe.
Amongst several agenda items on Wednesday, committee members will discuss LFC report results of evidence-based programs to improve adult behavioral health, Medicaid, the fiscal year 2013 (FY13) comprehensive annual financial report, and state building plans.
Thursday’s agenda includes discussions about cost-effective options for increasing high school graduation and improving adult education, a higher education funding formula update, capital outlay, the $1 Million or Greater Project status report, and an overview of 2015 capital requests.
On Friday committee members will discuss a preview of the Children, Youth, and Families Department FY16 appropriation request, restructuring of job classes and pay plan, the FY14 performance report on key agencies, and department of finance and administration approval of FY16 performance measures.
Committee Chair Representative Luciano Varela (D-48-Santa Fe) and Vice Chair Senator John Arthur Smith (D-35- Dona Ana, Hidalgo, Luna & Sierra) will preside at the meeting.
