Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee Meeting Tuesday and Wednesday, August 5-6
Santa Fe, NM – The Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 5-6, 2014 at the State Capital in Santa Fe.
Among several agenda items, committee members will receive an annual status report and revenue update from the State Land Office, a premium tax update from the Office of Superintendent of Insurance, and an annual tax credit report on laboratory partnership with small business from Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Economic Development Program. They will also discuss sources and uses of state capital funding, and advancing electric vehicles in New Mexico. On Wednesday, during a joint meeting with the Transportation Infrastructure Revenue Subcommittee, members will discuss enacting a comprehensive response to transportation infrastructure, the Federal Highway Trust Fund, and congressional action and the implications for New Mexico’s Highway Program funding, amongst other topics.
Both Committee Chairs Representative Edward C. Sandoval (D-17- Bernalillo) and Representative Roberto “Bobby” J. Gonzales (D-42-Taos) will preside at the meeting.
