Senator Sanchez Issues the Following Statement about the Passing of Officer Daniel Webster
The loss of Albuquerque Police Officer Daniel Webster has deeply saddened the citizens City of Albuquerque, the State of New Mexico and people throughout the United States. Yesterday, he succumbed to the injuries he received in the line of duty on October 21, 2015. We will never forget the ultimate sacrifice he made to keep the citizens of Albuquerque safe.
Police officers are a unique brotherhood who put their lives on the line for the safety and protection of others realizing that without warning they may not return home. Most of us will never understand the agony an officer’s family goes through wondering if today will be the last day they will see their wife, husband, mother, father, daughter or son.
We are eternally grateful for his dedication to his fellow officers and the people he swore to serve and protect. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family as they endure this unthinkable loss.
